Modern law has virtually no room to get out of this heavy responsibility. Claim costs have increased by reduced social security benefits. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Products liability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Basically, each producer is liable for damage caused by its delivered product. Companies that &#8220;only&#8221; assemble or import can be considered under certain conditions as a producer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Professional liability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (also called Professional \/ indemnity) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liability can arise out of an incorrect or incomplete advice\/design\/calculation, etc. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although professional faults not necessarily have to lead to direct physical damage, \u00a0any error can bring major financial consequences. For some professions this type of insurance is compulsory, like lawyers, accountants and insurance brokers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=&#8221;transparent&#8221; up=&#8221;44&#8243; down=&#8221;0&#8243;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Directors and Officers liability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Directors and officers auditors of companies, associations and foundations can be hold liable in person by -among others- employees, pension institutes, etc. should the company, association or foundation cause financial damage to such parties. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Such claims filed with the Enterprise Chamber, may cause long-term (read: very expensive) litigation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Owners Liability (ships).<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The owner of a vessel is basically responsible for all risks associated with the ownership, operation, use, etc. of a ship.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Charterer&#8217;s Liability (ships)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Charterer of a vessel (including floating objects, like cranes, barges, etc.) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will meet several liabilities arising out of the Charter Part. Being the user of the vessel, charterer may be addressed by, among others, (port)authorities for damages caused by \/ through the vessel.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=&#8221;small&#8221; position=&#8221;left&#8221; up=&#8221;10&#8243;][vc_column_text]<b>The above is only a brief summary of some more or less common liabilities.
